My name is Grayson, and I’m a homeschool student with a passion for freshwater fishkeeping. I started this blog as a way to practice my writing skills, but I discovered that I love helping others learn about my passion.
My Mission
As someone passionate about aquatics, my focus is on providing guidance to novice aquarium enthusiasts on setting up a thriving tank that they can cherish for years. My write-ups span topics such as fish, tanks, plants, and maintenance.
My Experience
Ever since I was young, I have been fascinated by aquariums. The vibrant colors, various sizes, and unique behavior of the fish always captured my attention. What amazed me the most was the sheer diversity of marine life – I could never choose a favorite and always wanted to learn more about each species.
My First Tank
First aquarium at age 6 (a birthday present). My very cool uncle took me to a local fish store in his Vette to find the perfect fish. My 5-gallon guppy tank was born, but no live plants…still, I had a snail. As I added more fish, the guppy tank turned into a tetra tank.
For six years, I had tetras of various types living happily in that tank (with only minor attacks from my younger siblings) Today, the tetra tank is just a memory. But I’m preparing for my next tank–a much larger tank–when I have the chance to build one. Even without a tank in my home, I still love visiting our local butterfly house and aquarium to watch the different species interact.

The impossible missions are the only ones which succeed.
